ABOUT US.

The Do More Agriculture Foundation (Do More Ag) is a charity organization focusing on mental health in agriculture across Canada.

HOW WE DO MORE.

We champion the mental well-being of those in Canadian agriculture, from the farmgate to the boardroom and everywhere in between. We cultivate a culture where everyone is encouraged, supported, and empowered to care for their mental health.

Agriculture is an industry built on deep rural roots, hard work, resilience, independence and strength. These same traits can also be the industry’s weakness when they are barriers to speaking up and seeking help. Those in the Canadian agriculture industry are among the most vulnerable when it comes to mental health issues: stress, anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion and burnout are all high.

By collaborating with the entire industry and those working to cultivate a culture of mental well-being in agriculture, we can and will make a substantial impact!

OUR MISSION.

To cultivate a culture of mental well-being within Canadian farming communities.

OUR VISION.

An industry where all farming communities are encouraged, empowered and supported to take care of their mental well-being.

OUR PILLARS

The Do More Agriculture Foundation operates under three pillars.

As a Canadian charity, these pillars drive our focus and efforts across the agriculture industry.

Action

Action for awareness, education and breaking the stigma. These are the first steps to making a real & lasting impact for mental health. We take action for increased awareness, knowledge and understanding.

Community

Community activates a sense of belonging and hope. When we feel connected, we’re more likely to reach out, show up, and support one another. We work with local leaders to foster spaces where conversations around mental health are welcomed, and where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we grow strength for support, inclusion, belonging, and resilience.

Resources

Mental health services and supports are hard to access in rural and remote locations. We aim to bridge the gap—bringing support, education and resources to farmers and their support networks across Canada.
