When We Talk, We Grow - So Let’s Talk It Out.

June 7, 2021

The Do More Agriculture Foundation (DMAF) is proud to partner with We Talk. We Grow. an initiative from Farm Safety Nova Scotia focused on raising awareness and taking action to protect and nurture the mental health and well-being of Nova Scotia’s farming community; as well as enhance and maintain a culture where mental health is valued, prioritized and protected.

“Farm Safety Nova Scotia is happy to partner with Do More Ag on this campaign. We need to raise awareness and take action to protect and nurture the mental health and well-being of Canadian farmers. Joining forces will help us provide resources and support to our farming community in our province and across the country,” said David Newcombe, President of Farm Safety Nova Scotia.

Together we want to encourage producers to talk about our mental health. To know that we can’t just tough it out, we need to talk it out and grow together. Throughout the month of June, we will be sharing resources and stories to encourage conversations because the more people can talk about mental health; the more we can encourage our friends, families, neighbours and coworkers to get the help that is needed.

“Do More Ag is delighted to partner with We Talk. We Grow. This partnership allows us to provide further support across Canada as we champion the mental wellbeing of all producers. We look forward to working together to end the stigma behind mental health in agriculture. ” said Adelle Stewart, Executive Director of The Do More Agriculture Foundation
