The Do More Agriculture Foundation Announces New Additions To Their Board

Saskatchewan, April 22, 2021 - The Do More Agriculture Foundation (Do More Ag), a not-for-profit championing mental health in agriculture across Canada welcomed three new board members, Amy Vanderheid, Liz Jarvis, and Lauren Martin. The passion for mental health and experiences these individuals bring will help Do More Ag continue its path of increasing awareness, fostering conversations and partnerships, and bringing mental health resources to Canadian producers and those within agriculture.

Amy Vanderheid, a farmer from Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, is the Past President of the Chicken Producers Association of Nova Scotia and co-founded the Maritime Ag Women's Network and brings a wealth of agriculture experience to the board. Liz Jarvis has spent much of her career in the nonprofit sector, with her current role in 4-H Canada brings vast experience with leading strategic communications and government relations. Lauren Martin, Government & Food Industry Relations Manager at Canadian Cattlemen's Association, has a passion for advocating for producers. 

“The new members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help Do More Ag continue to grow as an organization and serve Canadian producers in new ways,” says Do More Ag co-founder and Chair Himanshu Singh. 

With the addition of the new members, Do More Ag looks forward to continuing to lead change in the mental health sector across Canada and creating partnerships throughout the agriculture industry. 

Founded in 2017, Do More Ag is a non-profit organization focusing on mental health in agriculture across Canada. Do More Ag are champions for the mental well-being of all Canadian producers; changing the culture of agriculture to one where all producers are encouraged, supported and empowered to take care of their mental well-being. Do More Ag’s focus and efforts are driven by three pillars: awareness, community and research.
